Workplace Upstart Readiness program

Course Objectives
An effective 2 day Work Readiness on ramping workshop shall provide participants various workplace program opportunities and programs resources and information tech and tips to onramp and boost youth searching for meaningful youth, this contributing to employment outcomes and National Development Plan NDP.
Course Outline
South Africa has very high level of structural unemployment, especially amongst youth for poor socio-economic backgrounds. The Covid19 crisis and shutdown has excerbated this trend with social instability issues emerging. Many youth entering the formal job market face multiple barriers and challenges such as not knowing a) how and where to access workplace programs and job skills projects, and b) professional workplace preparedness. These are essential for out of school youth, TVET graduates and underemployed to smoothly transition into the myriad of workplace programs and opportunities. The general element underpinning most effective approaches to job crafting, which is the ability to make your job (or work) more entrepreneurial. This goes way beyond starting your own business or launching a start-up. It is an overall tendency to harness innovation in your work, by finding better ways of doing things, and proactively nurturing progress in your career journey
Beneficiaries
The beneficiaries are out of school youth (OOSY), TVET graduates, unemployed /underemployed youth, with a priority on women and persons with disablities
Free Post course mentorship
One of our unique community value proposition we shall offer all participants a full 1 month mentorship support post course attendance. This shall include on line mentorship, a one -to one session and sending of relevant business and career development literature and our e- newsletter filled with information and tips
- A section 18A certificate is issued on successful support and delivery of the course.
